Coffee Shops.

As I sit here in The Perc Coffeehouse, I remember the many coffee talks I've had at similar coffee shops throughout the DFW area to even places as far as Granada, Spain. In a way, coffee shops are like people: no two are the same. The unique speciality drinks, baked goodies, and decor are just a few of the things that make coffee shops have their own "personality". Coming up are a few of my favorite coffee shops I've been to that I would recommend you visit. Each carry a different vibe, and I am sure you will end up finding your favorite hangout and ~caffeine fix~ with the help of this post.

Address: 2414 Routh St, Dallas, TX 75201

A coffee shop operating in Uptown Dallas, Crooked Tree is anything but "city-like". Located within a neighborhood, this hidden gem is a favorite of mine because of its comfortable feel and of course, great coffee. The atmosphere at Crooked Tree is described as having a "living room feel," which is completely true. The warm colored walls and worn furniture allow for effortless conversations to flow while also providing a quiet, simple study spot. If you ever find yourself in the Dallas area, make sure to visit this spot for a home away from home.

Address: 220 N Main St, Grapevine, TX 76051

RE:defined Coffee House is located in Grapevine, Texas and is home to decor that combines industrial and bohemian aspects. This coffee shop is a very cool spot that you definitely need to try out yourself! Here the coffee is great, but the vibes are even greater. You may be lucky enough to walk in when there is live music going on as well as even live painting. When you pull up to RE:defined, you may wonder how such a detailed coffee shop lays within those doors, but trust me- go inside! You won't be let down.

Address: 2570 FM407 #140, Highland Village, TX 75077

I couldn't write a coffee shop post without mentioning my ride or die, Edison Coffee Co. Located down the road from my home, this coffee shop is a little nook that has provided the "caffeine fix" those in the Highland Village/Flower Mound area were in need of. This comfortable location is home to great baristas, friends, coffee, and memories. Now welcoming Joy Macarons, as well as numerous other baked goodies and speciality coffee, you cannot go wrong with Edison Coffee Co. Its rustic decor with modern twists provide the feel you are probably looking for within a coffee shop. Within in no time, you'll become familiar with the baristas and will truly be walking into not just a coffee shop, but a friendly hangout.

Address: 114 W Oak St, Denton, TX 76201

West Oak Coffee Bar is located right in Denton Square. Its rustic brick walls mixed with its distressed wooden tables, provide a dim, industrial feel. The scenery of this location is very "Instagram friendly," and the prices of the drinks seem to reflect the atmosphere of this shop. However, do not let those steer you away from this coffee shop as it is also notable for its coffee and other drinks. The best chai latte I have had to this day has come from West Oak Coffee Bar, and that is saying a lot. We all have different tastes, but I would recommend you to try this place out. Afterwards, you can take a walk through the square which is home to numerous other cool spots to try out, such as Atomic Candy and Beth Marie's Old Fashioned Ice Cream.

Address: 2628 Long Prairie Rd #103, Flower Mound, TX 75022

Trio Craft Coffee is a coffee shop that the town of Flower Mound has been in need of for quite some time. This lofty-feeling location is a fantastic place to study and have some "me time". While it may not have tons of tables, this coffee shop is still roomy and comfortable. Its drinks are quite inexpensive, yet so delicious which makes this spot one of my favorites. Also, it's no worries if you forget your headphones because whoever is in charge of the music at Trio is doing it right. Without a doubt, Tame Impala will come on and you will be happy about it (hopefully). Side note: if you're asking yourself who the heck Tame Impala is- go check them out right now! :-) Anyways, Trio Craft Coffee is waiting for you- go get yourself some coffee and good music!

Address: 115 W Main St, Lewisville, TX 75057

Here I am starting off the new year sitting at this coffee shop right now- The Perc Coffeehouse. The antique decor that surrounds this location is a favorite of mine. As their website states, "no two tables the same," and that holds true. You may catch yourself looking left, right, up, and even down admiring the aged posters, hangings, and rugs on the walls and floors. The comfortable couches and chairs within this coffee shop make it a great hangout for long days studying or ~writing blog posts~. I have also been in here for a couple hours now, and let me tell you, I am not upset about the playlist. The music, antique atmosphere, and yummy drinks make this newly opened, 4 month-young spot a great place to try out. Support local!

Address: 106 N Locust St, Denton, TX 76201

Last, but not least, comes another favorite of mine- Jupiter House. This location is huge and is a great spot for conversations with friends that go on far into the night, as it typically closes around 11pm. The unique drinks here make this spot a go-to for something different than the usual vanilla or chai latte (though the chai latte is VERY good here). I would definitely recommend the Jupiter's Nectar and a baked goodie if you are looking to try unique fan favorites- trust me, you won't be let down! Once again, this spot is located in Denton Square which is home to so many other unique places in itself. Grab a quick drink here and walk the square, it makes for a fun day.

Thank you all for reading,

Brooke XO
