Home Sweet Home.

Fayetteville is now my new home! It's crazy to think that 3 weeks ago I was living a completely different life than I am now, but I am so happy to say that I feel right at home. This town is exactly where I need to be at this time in my life. Joining a sorority has been such a humbling experience as I am now surrounded by woman who so passionately care to watch me grow in my walk with the Lord. Living in the same building as my best friends has exceeded my expectations (this one goes out to y'all who walk to class with me at 8am and are just as curious to see what the dining hall is serving that day). Plus, I can't forget the amazing places around Fay that I've gotten to explore and experience. Here's a little summary of my past week and why am I in love with my new humble abode.

☆ Farmer's Market- How can you go wrong with a farmer's market, especially the Fayetteville Farmer's market located right in the town square. This is a total go-to if you are looking for some fresh flowers for your room and some raw, acoustic music (always good for the soul). Everything is local which is so incredible and the feeling you get walking around the square on Saturday mornings is one of a kind. 10/10 would recommend implementing this into your weekend schedule!

☆ Arsaga's at the Depot- Okay, so can we talk about breakfast?! We've established that Saturday mornings are best started off at the farmer's market, but then what...breakfast of course!!! After walking the square, you should immediately head over to grab the essentials: a chai latte and crépe (or maybe that's just me). I say immediately because coffee and friends are the best combination, but also because being seated for breakfast in Fayetteville on a Saturday morning is near impossible. But once seated...Arsaga's is the best of both worlds: I mean you've got delicious food and an aesthetically pleasing environment, and conversation just flows better over breakfast, right? So head here when you get the chance- you won't regret it.

☆ Mama Carmen's- Fayetteville is home to many amazing coffee shops, but since Mama Carmen's was very much so my sister's favorite coffee shop, I've got to keep the Forth family tradition going! But in all seriousness, this coffee shop is everything you'd want and more. The coffee here is of course ~bomb~ and so are the pastries. Even more than that though, Mama Carmen's is so homey and roomy which is an essential when you're looking for a dependable place to study and enjoy your time. Also, if you forget your headphones...don't sweat it because their playlist is always on point (I mean The Lumineers + Vance Joy on repeat is music that makes my heart happy)! I know this place will be my happy place during those times when I just can't get myself to study at Mullins library anymore...

☆ Fayetteville's Funky Yardsale- Another favorite place of mine. To keep it simple, this is like a massive garage sale in one building, and the name doesn't lie- this place is funky, but it makes coming here such a memorable experience. From adorable room decor to......um...pigs in a jar...Fayetteville's Funky Yardsale is a place I had been anxious to revisit and explore as a college student in Fay. And, oh am I glad I did! You can't beat the uniqueness of a place like this. The concept and layout is one-of-a-kind and definitely a place I will have people visit when they make trips to Fayetteville! Who knows you may end up leaving with a piece you'll spend a lifetime with!

☆ Chunky Dunk- Last, but oh certainly not least was Chunky Dunk: A Milk and Cookies Truck. Literally this hidden gem is so heavenly that I think my life is changed after having eaten here. This delicious dessert truck serves ice cream sandwiches made with cookies (heart eyes). The options are endless!!! I enjoyed an ice cream sandwich this past weekend composed of two brownie cookies, strawberry cream ice-cream, Oreos and hot fudge (double heart eyes), but they have options for whatever your sweet tooth may be craving! I cannot rave about this place enough. Just do me a favor- get in your car and eat here pleaasseeeeee and let me know what you think. It is so amazing.

OKAY Y'ALL! That is it! I hope you enjoyed hearing about what my past week of college entailed and hopefully you're okay that this blog post turned into a list of suggestions of places to go when you visit Fay...because you totally should. I love my new home and the places and people that come along with it. Can't wait to see what this next year holds!

Much love,

Brooke XO
